A decade ago, WRM formed the New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal working with municipal officials throughout the state, three prominent municipal associations and a regional broker. NYMIR was structured so that insurance agencies and brokerages could offer it as an alternative option to their municipal clients. Under the continuing sponsorship of the New York State Conference of Mayors, Association of Towns, and Association of Counties, NYMIR serves the needs of hundreds of municipalities throughout New York State.

Another illustration of our commitment to partnering is the National Private School program we helped develop for a major insurance company. As the lead underwriter, we applied our expertise in school business operations to design a program offering broader protection and greater coverage for the unique risk exposures of private schools. Our role included providing comprehensive risk management services, underwriting, large claim review, and marketing to regional agents. The program, administered by WRM, was offered nationwide through this national insurer.

In response to an industry crisis, WRM assisted an insurance agency in forming a captive for trade contractors, which insured in excess of 100 small businesses during a period of need.
