Wright Risk Management has worked with schools in the State of New York to establish unique vehicles to manage the complexities and ever-rising costs of Employee Benefits:

New York Benefits for Educators & Student Trust (NYBEST) www.nybest.org

In 1997, NYBEST was formed by a group of NY state school districts seeking to determine if school districts, through cooperation, could improve their employee benefits programs in terms of price, products, services and options. WRM was selected as consultant on the study and has worked with the schools since to develop NYBEST from a conceptual idea to a working model, and is currently administrating and building the services provided through the NYBEST program.

State-Wide Schools Cooperative Health Plan (SWSCHP) www.swschp.org

WRM consulted with public schools in NY State to create a self-funded health/managed care program statewide. The program was designed to combat accelerating rates for health insurance while providing broader coverage for participants. WRM was engaged by this group to perform program management services including: enrollment, eligibility, development of participating practitioner list, billing, and claims administration oversight.
