Wright Risk Management has designed an intensive one-year paid work/study curriculum for recent college and business school graduates. Our hope is that it will inspire and encourage young people toward a career in the risk and insurance industry, as well as provide a training ground for future leaders of Wright Risk Management. Trainees will work under the direct supervision of department managers for a specified number of weeks. They will meet clients, attend staff and management meetings, and receive study assignments to supplement the hands-on, real-world training they will receive from experts in underwriting, claims, loss control, accounting and information systems.

We recommend this program only for highly motivated individuals interested in acquiring the knowledge base required for a successful and rewarding career in the property and casualty insurance industry. Entry-level salary and full benefits package are included. If you feel you are a candidate, please contact our human resources department.

“The Management Training Program at Wright Risk Management affords a unique perspective of the day-to-day operations of an insurance company. I gained an understanding of risk-transfer, risk assessment, rating, reinsurance, claims handling, accounting and marketing. I also was able to see how the Information Technology (IT) department supports the "back end" of the business through the myriad of daily transactions that take place. Spending four to ten weeks in each of the separate disciplines also provided me with a detailed understanding of how the different areas of an insurance company interact with each other and most importantly, how they each serve our clients. In addition to learning about the broad and diverse internal functions of the company, I was also able to work with the outside partners that support our operations. These included reinsurers, actuaries and other industry statistical and ratemaking organizations. I feel I have gained an unparalleled learning experience that will lead to a rewarding career at Wright Risk Management.” - Jonathan Hirt, Management Trainee 2004

“The WRM Management Training program has surpassed my expectations. It is a great opportunity to work alongside many talented and experienced managers. The exposure to all of the departments has taught me so much about the insurance industry and WRM. The job has shown me that hard work and quality of life do not have to be mutually exclusive. It is rewarding to be part of a "family" of caring individuals that seeks professional excellence. The door is always open to senior staff and managers. Instantly you feel welcome into each department. There is a real team atmosphere that gives you a sense of confidence. You are given a lot of responsibility in a short time, which is challenging and rewarding. This type of situation breedŐs loyalty and the loyalty demonstrated by everyone here is very rare. I would highly recommend this program.” - Rob Rowe, Management Trainee 2005
