| | WRM created two client-owned Property & Casualty reciprocal insurance companies and have managed them for over a decade, taking both from unrated and unranked companies to A.M. Best top rated (Excellent) companies. Our clients partake fully in the benefits of a customized alternative risk-financing program; that is, broader coverage, better service, stable premiums and extensive risk management services. |
| | We have worked with municipal associations, school districts and regional brokers to create Workers Compensation (WC) self-funding pools as alternatives to state-run and private WC coverage. WRM performs TPA services, funding level development, and risk management services to all our WC pools and independent groups. Our WC clients enjoy outstanding customer service, claims handling, and in-house bill review. Our unique process and reporting structure sets our services far apart from our competition and once we gain a client, we rarely see them depart our programs. |
| | WRM consulted with public schools in NY State to create a self-funded health/managed care program statewide. WRM was engaged by this group to perform program management services including: enrollment, eligibility, development of participating practictioner list, billing, and claims administration oversight. |
| | WRM serves as Risk Management Consultant to the State of New York as well as to the New York State Thruway Authority, as they marshal tight resources to address increasing demands. For the State of New York project, WRM assessed all of the states property and casualty insurance programs, exposures and risks for all offices and departments. We presented our findings and recommendations in a comprehensive report, which is used by state officials currently to guide insurance decisions. For the NYS Thruway Authority we have commenced work on identifying standard insurance requirements based on their unique exposures. |
| | We consult with the Queens Borough Public Library, the largest circulating library in the nation on matters of risk management and workers compensation. WRM has been engaged by the Queens Borough Public Library in an ongoing capacity as advisor for over a decade. |
| | WRM is proud to have served on the New York City World Trade Center Insurance Task Force in the aftermath of 9/11/01, helping the City confront risk ramifications never before encountered. As part of a selected team of municipal risk managers and risk financing experts, WRM staff assisted with the structuring of an insurance wrap-up and safety program for the contractors conducting the clean up, and are currently engaged in evalutaing the feasibility of creating an alternative risk financing vehicle to fund post-9/11 claims. |
| | In 1997, NYBEST (New York Benefits for Educators and Students Trust) was formed by a group of NY state school districts seeking to determine if school districts, through cooperation, could improve their employee benefits programs in terms of price, products, services and options. WRM was selected as consultant on the study and has worked with the schools since to develop NYBEST from a conceptual idea to a working model, and is currently administrating and building the services provided through the NYBEST program.
